Peer to Peer Program
An EMR mentoring program brought to you by POSP
Connect with colleagues who are experienced EMR
users
Peer to Peer Leaders provide Alberta's physicians and clinic
staff with mentoring support and professional development both
before and after a transition to a complete electronic medical
record (EMR) solution. Peer to Peer mentoring is a Change
Management Service offered through the Physician Office System
Program (POSP) in the form of a demonstration clinic or one-on-one
mentoring. Alberta's Peer Leaders are a valuable source of wisdom
and are experienced in using an EMR to improve practice efficiency
and enhance the level of clinical care.
By connecting with physicians or similar health care
professionals, Peer Leaders offer their own expertise and
experiences, as well as best practices in using a complete EMR
solution as it relates to their specific job requirements and
duties, and provide advice on EMR functionality in meeting the
unique business requirements of individual clinics.
Peer Leaders are:
- Physicians
- Clinic Managers
- Nurses
- Billing Clerks
- Scheduling Clerks
- Medical Office Assistants
