Support & Services
The Physician Office System Program (POSP) provides services and
support to physicians and clinics throughout the transition
process.
Your Change Management Advisor (CMA) will work with you to
develop a Change Management Plan that will identify the specific
services that will provide your clinic with the greatest support
and value. These services may be delivered by POSP resources, your
vendor and the data migration provider.
A "required" service means that your CMA must obtain
documentation of the activity, regardless of whether the resulting
deliverable was developed through POSP or independently by the
clinic. These required services are considered essential to
mitigate risks associated with regulatory non-compliance and
unsuccessful information management and information technology
(IM/IT) implementation projects.
An "optional" service must be documented in your Change
Management Plan and pre-approved by POSP for reimbursement.
Portfolio coordinators, also
known as PCs, are your dedicated resource through the
implementation process. They ensure that services provided by key
stakeholders, such as the QSPs, the data migration vendor, Alberta
Health and Wellness and Alberta Health Services are coordinated and
implemented.
The POSP Peer to Peer program provides
physicians, clinicians and other clinic members with support and
professional development on vendor specific EMR functionality,
offering their unique expertise and experience in using an EMR.
