Data Migration and Testing
The Physician Office System Program (POSP) offers services and
support in all aspects of data management during your transition to
a new electronic medical record (EMR) solution.
Data migration is the process of moving data from an existing
EMR to a new EMR solution. Clinics will receive assistance
with:
- Assessing data needs
- Extracting data from the existing systems
- Loading data into the new EMR solution
While POSP provides support for data management, if you are a
custodian of health information you are responsible for making
decisions related to data management and for ensuring those
decisions meet medical legal requirements for continuity of
care.
