The Physician Office System Program (POSP) understands and supports physicians in their responsibilities to protect patient privacy and the integrity of their data.

The move to an ASP environment as part of the new solutions is designed to increase data security.

POSP also provides several services designed to help physician organizations maintain privacy and protect their data. Services include help preparing Privacy Impact Assessments, security reviews, data conversion advice, wireless device reviews, and privacy training.

Data migration is another area where POSP has outlined a comprehensive plan to ensure that any data migrated to the new solutions is handled with security and patient safety in mind.
