Governance & Structure

The Physician Office System Program (POSP) is one of four strategic physician agreements under an eight-year Trilateral Master Agreement between Alberta Health and Wellness, the Alberta Medical Association and Alberta Health Services.

POSP is governed by a trilateral committee (POSP Committee) composed of three representatives each from Alberta Health and Wellness, the Alberta Medical Association, and Alberta Health Services.

Daily administration of POSP is managed by a program director and a program management office.

About Trilateral Master Agreement Governance

The Trilateral Master Agreement is jointly managed by Alberta Health and Wellness, Alberta Medical Association and Alberta Health services, with a Master Committee, a Secretariat and four Strategic Physician Agreement Committees (one of which is POSP). Each of the four strategic physician agreements has its own management committee, with nine members, three from each of the parties. Disputes are managed by Secretariat and, if necessary, the Master Committee.
